Large Send Offload Issue in windows Vista, 2008 and 7


Symptoms

1, When logon a domain computer and run logon script, you may receive these messgaes:

I) Load script....failed.

II) Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

III) Permission denied and code: 800A0046.

2. When running gpresult, you may receive "INFO: the user does not have RSOP data".

3. Other computers accessing to this computer is very slow.

4. When logon the system remotely using RDC, you may receive this message: "Because of an error in data encryption, this session will end".

5. You may have Event ID 1053 and 1006 logged.

Description:

The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not resolve the user name. This could be caused by one of more of the following:

a) Name Resolution failure on the current domain controller.

b) Active Directory Replication Latency (an account created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller).

Description:

The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not authenticate to the Active Directory service on a domain controller. (LDAP Bind function call failed). Look in the details tab for error code and description.

Resolution: Disable Large Send Offload. To do that, Open the Properties of the LAN. Click on Configuration and then Advanced. Highlight IPv4 Large Send Offload. Click OK to save it.
